The Saint Cocteau
Francesco Vezzoli
The Saint Cocteau Suite is the smallest room in the house — a choice made deliberately by Vezzoli. His interest in fame, glamour, and cultural memory takes quiet focus here, blending nostalgia with a subtle sense of irony. The suite is a tribute to Jean Cocteau — one of Vezzoli’s idols, and a regular visitor to Megève with his partner, the actor Jean Marais. High and low culture sit side by side, brought together with theatrical care.
Every detail was designed by Vezzoli himself, including the bed, the bedsheets, and the blanket. The result is a private space, shaped with elegance, humour, and intent.

Francesco Vezzoli
Francesco Vezzoli was born in 1971 in Brescia, Italy. He currently lives and works in Milan. Francesco Vezzoli’s work explores power of contemporary popular culture. By closely emulating formats of various media, such as advertising and film, he addresses ongoing preoccupations with the fundamental ambiguity of truth, the seductive power of language, and the instability of the human persona.
