The Conrad’s Wheel
Conrad Shawcross
The centrepiece Patterns of Absence, reflects Shawcross’s interest in optics and perception. Two perforated, coloured discs rotate slowly, casting shifting patterns of light and motion that recall waves, flocks, or vortices. The work introduces a sense of focus and quiet rhythm.
Nearby, Farrell’s My Aura in the Sun and Pardo’s sculptural additions bring a softer presence — abstract studies in mood, light, and internal landscape. Together, the works form a space for stillness and movement, shaped by observation and restraint.

Conrad Shawcross
Conrad Shawcross was born in London in 1977, where he currently lives and works.Imbued with an appearance of scientific rationality, Conrad Shawcross’s sculptures explore subjects that lie on the borders of geometry and philosophy, physics and metaphysics. Different technologies and natural forces inspire his forms, but his mysterious machines and structures remain enigmatic, filled with paradox and wonder. Shawcross is the youngest living member of the Royal Academy of Arts.
