Babs Haenen is one of the first artists to have realised and installed an artwork in Magic Megève. Close to Aqua Marina, the artist has another work in the same central place of the chalet: the fireplace, Frozen Light for the fireplace, 2020. In front of the sitting room the artist has covered the tall and clean structure of the fireplace with glazed tiles produced by the oldest ceramic factory in the Netherlands, Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum. The tiles, designed with a movement always in relief, are connected this time to the winter in Megève thanks to a particular glaze and its glittery effect. 

Landscape motifs, such as rippling water, mountain formations, rocks, fossils, corals and tree-trunks are recurring themes in Babs’ work.
