Francesco Vezzoli decided to dedicate one of the rooms of the chalet to the beloved soul of Jean Cocteau, who loved Megève very much. Embodying the intention to preserve the artistic spirit, Francesco, whilst wandering through the chalet, decided to create the Saint Cocteau suite, a unique work tailored to a specific place.

Francesco is one of the most important contemporary Italian artists. By closely emulating formats of various media, his work explores the power of contemporary popular culture and addresses ongoing preoccupations with the fundamental ambiguity of truth, the seductive power of language, and the instability of the human persona. Vezzoli likes indulging his fascination with figures cast in the limelight, and his penchant for glamour, nostalgia and intelligent tragi-comic clashes of high and low brow, from Jean Cocteau to Dynasty.
